, on ABC,  to talk about their lives and current projects. Actress Ashley Judd appeared on April 6, 2011 to talk about her new book, "All Things Bitter and Sweet." On April 7, mother/daughter Country Music duo, Naomi and Wynonna Judd appeared to talk about their new series on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network.

Ashley Judd (Double Jeopardy) has enjoyed a successful acting career, a commercial venture with her beauty line and a marriage to race car driver Dario Franchitti. It seems like Ashley Judd has everything a woman could possibly want, but she has been hiding an ugly secret, a childhood that included sexual abuse. Ashley Judd also revealed that she felt terribly left out, when her mother, Naomi, and older sister, Wynonna, skyrocketed to success as a Country Music Duo.  "All Things Bitter and Sweet" is Ashley Judd's story of the trials and tears behind her success story.

Naomi was a single mother and supporting her two daughters when the Country Music duo shot to fame. While The Judds were a successful singing team. When they were offstage,  there was acrimony between the women, who were probably spending too much time with each other. Naomi and Wynonna talked about being in therapy and revealing that they had also been sexually abused as children.

The Judd women said they never discussed the abuse with each other, or anyone else. Now the veil is being lifted. Behind the story of success and fame, the women have been keeping secrets. The subject will be explored on the two hour premiere of The Judds, on OWN, on Sunday, April 10, 2011.

The Judds are among the  superstar women of Country Music honored at Girls' Night Out, on CBS. The concert honors the superstar women of country music, including The Judds, Miranda Lambert, Loretta Lynn, Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, Reba and Carrie Underwood.

Hollywood Actress Ashley Judd reveals she is a sexual abuse survivor?

Hollywood actress, Ashley Judd, 

[Mar. 31]  Miami is a city that includes many types of people, including strong women who are sexual abuse survivors.  Hollywood actress Ashley Judd, daughter of singer Naomi Judd, and sister of Wynonna Judd, has written a tell all memoir revealing her almost lifelong struggle with depression, repeated sexual abuse, and eventual healing as a wife, mother, and professional in the entertainment business.  Having worked in movies such as Kiss with Girls and High Crimes, both alongside actor Morgan Freeman, Ashley has surpassed great obstacles in her life and finds herself in a healthy romantic relationship and appears to enjoy motherhood as well.   

Healthy relationships, such as the one Ashley shares with husband, Scottish race car driver Dario Franchitti, can provide hope to other sexual assault victims and survivors.  While the process of healing from a sexual assault is often plagued with many emotional and physical challenges, many women take on the task and find they are completely different people in the process.

Actress Ashley Judd, according to a MailOnline article, endured repeated sexual assaults from different men in her life over the years. Having moved frequently as a child due to Naomi Judd’s early divorce, Ashley moved an almost innumerable amount of times, causing her great distress, depression, and even thoughts of suicide.  All along, her hardship was spotted with sexual assaults Ashley felt powerless to control. 

Over the years, it appears Ashley has coped with her abuse through social support which includes her family, her husband, and journaling in a personal diary, a form of bibio-therapy often used in the treatment of sexual abuse.   While it not yet clear If Ashley attended mental health counseling services or sought any type of mental health services, we are sure to learn more about her ordeal when her book, All that is Bitter & Sweet, is released on April 5th, 2011.

Deputies say 34-year-old Christopher Leake and 20-year-old Crescencio Reynosa, took $65 from a dead man in Boron while they were transporting his body to Bakersfield. Both men were arrested on misdemeanor charges of petty theft. They had worked for the transportation company for about two years and were fired Thursday. The company has been contracted with the Sheriffs Department for the last ten years and this is the first time officials say this has happened. "The individual was very well liked and respected in the business and it came to a surprise to us, you know, there is a very high standard when you are working with law enforcement," said Ron Stanton, General Manager, Premier Transport Service. Michelle Lowe of Bakersfield fears her mother may have also been the victim of theft when she died last August. Lowe says the same company transported her mother to the Coroner's office and her jewelry was missing, a diamond cross necklace and earrings, she says, her mother never took off. "I feel like they stole from my mom when she's helpless and there is nothing I can do to change it," said Lowe. Lowe contacted the Sheriff's Department and was told the employees who were arrested Thursday were not the same ones who transported her mother. The department adds they do get calls about jewelry and missing money, but it's often difficult to prove if it was stolen because there are no pictures of the body.
