21-year-old father arrested for beating 3-month-old

Eloy Police arrested a 21-year-old Eloy man this past Monday in connection with injuries his young child sustained over the weekend.
After a 3-month-old child was rushed to the hospital with significant facial trauma last Saturday, Nov. 27, staff at the Casa Grande Regional Medical Center contacted Eloy Police about possible child abuse.
Due to the extent of the child’s injuries, the child was then flown to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital for further evaluation. Forensic doctors were able to confirm the injuries sustained by the child were the result of non-accidental trauma. As a result of the investigation the child’s father, Nicanor Ronquillo, 21, was charged with one count of child abuse and booked into the Pinal County Jail in Florence. The child is currently at home recovering under the mother’s care.
